About

Carolyn Mae is a pointillism artist striving to showcase the intensity and beauty of every day life. Through her perception, she encourages others to look deeper into their surroundings and appreciate the little things in life.

  • Pointillism is a technique of *neo-impressionist painting using tiny dots of various pure colors, which blend in the viewers eye. It was developed by Georges Seurat with the aim of producing a greater degree of luminosity and brilliance of color.

*neo-impressionist is a term coined by French art critic in 1886 to describe an art movement founded by Georges Seurat.

  • Dotwork and stippling are used to describe the same process using a number of small dots to create a desired image or pattern. In the stippling technique, the dots are applied using pen and ink, and they are typically made up of a single color. Black and white is the most common pigment choice. A micro dotted pattern may occur in nature and these effects are frequently emulated by artists.

  • Items are sent through USPS and take about 3-6 days after shipped. If a print is ordered a tracking number will be provided. Please be kind to your postal drivers 🫶🏽

  • I have a limited number of prints ranging from a quantity of 10-50. Once they are sold out, THEY ARE SOLD OUT.

Displayed on the back will be a number (ex. 1/25 or 8/10 or 50/50)

1/25= Means you have the first print, number 1 out of 25 prints.

8/10= the eighth print out of 10 prints or

50/50=  the last print of the series.

  • I will have limited drops of the lower quantity prints. These prints will say “Series 2 then the print number”’ ex. Series 2 3/10.

Second series drops will be at random times, with random quantities, but the amount will never exceed 50. That means only 50 people can have em, so pick one up quick before you’re left out 😉 The best way to know when prints are available is to sign up for my mailing list below! I promise I won’t send you spam, no one really eats that anymore, I’d rather send a chicken.
